About Trekking

Situated at an altitude of 1,650 metres in the Himalayan range, Gangtok is a big town in Sikkim, India. There are a number of places to visit in Gangtok. Also, there are many Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Gangtok, which are visited by scores of tourists.
The population of Gangtok comprises a large variety of communities with different ethnicities including the Nepalis, Lepchas and Bhutia. Tourists visiting Gangtok can enjoy the mesmerising view of Mount Kanchenjunga from the western part of the city. Rivers Roro Chu and Ranilokha have segregated Gangtok into eastern and western parts.

Day 1

Departure from Ahmedabad to Delhi by Train, Overnight Train Journey.

Day 2

Arriving at Delhi, Train will be change from Delhi. In the Night around 11:00 pm catch a train from Delhi to NJP, Overnight Train Journey.

Full day and Night Journey in Train.

Day 4

Arriving NJP at 5:30am and move to Gangtok by car, Arriving at Gangtok hotel around 1:00 to 3:00 Pm and Check in, Rest for the Day. People can explore MG Road by walk and Then Dinner at Hotel, Night stay in Gangtok.

Day 5

Transfer to Lachen from Gangtok Early morning breakfast – Drive 135 kilometers, 6 to7 hours drive – Chungthang is 96 kilometers from Gangtok – Lunch at Chungthang (By your own Cost) – Lachen is 35 kilometers from Chungthang . Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening – The snow capped peaks, the Shingbha wildlife sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley, Thangu are the major attraction – It’s a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peak mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek – In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards – A hamlet with very few people – It almost like this town is hidden from the outside – Like a Shangri La– Check into a hotel -– Evening free to stroll and visit the Lepcha Village – Overnight stay at Lachen and Dinner.

Day 7

Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake and Transfer to Lachung (Morning 3 Am Depature), Food Pack Breakfast – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometers, 3 hours drive – Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, located at an altitude of 17,100 ft (5,210 m). It lies in the district of North Sikkim in the state of Sikkim in India, only some 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) south of Chinese border. Generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake – Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet / China back to Resort for Lunch at your own cost – After lunch drive to Lachung – The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest with Chopta Valley and Thangu are the other places of interest – proceed to Lachung – Nearly 50 kilometers and 2.5 hours drive – Check into hotel at Lachung – Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery – Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung andDinner.

Day 8

Sight Seeing at Yumthang & Transfer to Gangtok After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet – On the way you may visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases – Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends – In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primula, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow-covered valley except in autumn – During winter Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow-clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty. (Optional visit to Zero Point at extra charge) Return to Hotel at Lachung for Lunch – Reach Gangtok in the evening –Night stays at Gangtok and Dinner.

Breakfast and departure from Gangtok to NJP to catch a train, Overnight journey from NJP to Delhi.

Arriving Delhi in Noon, catch a train from Delhi to Ahmedabad, Overnight train journey.

Arriving Ahmedabad in Noon and trip will end with some best memories & memorable pictures.

Guidelines to the participants for safe camping
Using a face mask/face cover is compulsory
Aarogya setu app on your mobile phone is mandatory, before commencing the bus journey and during the camping duration.
Maintain social distancing and wash hands frequently, avoid handshakes with other participants and staff members.
Must carry personal hand sanitizers to use during activities/camping
The participants are advised to carry personal items for safe camping like plate/lunch box for meals, mug, spoons, and water bottles.
Try to avoid touching at any place like handlebars, supporting bars in a bus, automated water taps, sanitizer machines, etc.
Use dustbins for garbage and mask disposal.

CAMPSITE & WASHROOM AREA
The whole campsite is cleaned and sanitized daily.
Every participant would pass through a temperature test to ensure the safety and spread of infection.

RULES AND REGULATIONS: (FOR PARTICIPANT)

  • The participant will have to follow the instructions clearly and quietly given by the Instructors/Leaders.
  • Any Misbehave during the camp will lead to cancellation of the participant & Participants may be ordered to leave the Ride/Trek at any time.
  • Your Ride Leader will guide you for Route and all need to
    cooperate with them.
  • Participants have to keep clean all Visiting Places.
  • Do not leave the Ride without Leaders Permission
  • Participants have to take care of their valuable things. For any kind
    of missing items, Trailblazer Adventure Club is not responsible.
  • If Participants will be found having any type of Narcotic drugs, Alcoholic items, Tobacco items, and Smoking items during these days, inside or outside the campsite area that will directly lead to cancellation of the participant and no refund will be paid.

Our Liabilities & Limitations

• Please note that after the end of journey, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, monastery entry fees, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

• All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the journey. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the journey or while on the trek. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the journey participants safety, comfort & general well being.

• We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

• We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. If any properties of Trailblazer Adventure Club like tents, equipment and etc lost/ harm or damage by you. Its cost will be pay by you. (Or by your group). Please Note: We will not be responsible for any costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances like landslides, road blocks, bad weather, etc

  • The Refund Amount Will Be Paid In 7 Working Days Through An Ac Payee Cheque.
  • The Cancellation Amount Will Be Counted On The Full Camp Fees Only.
